Elements of Style
Forget fall fashion. We try to stay ahead of the curve here at 614, so we’re devoting an entire issue to Jewish style. It’s a blend of really old (why women wore snakeskin in Genesis) and brand new (how one jewelry designer is giving kippot a fashion makeover). We’ll go from East Coast (where "Project Frumway" challenges young Jewish designers) to West Coast (where Israeli siblings are creating new trends in Los Angeles). In the meantime, when it comes to styling yourself this summer, we love this wisdom from Jewish fashion designer Anne Klein: "Clothes aren’t going to change the world. The women who wear them will."
